Huntington Disease (HTT)
| Purpose: | This test will detect CAG repeat expansion mutation in the HTT gene to confirm a diagnosis of Huntington Disease in a symptomatic individual, or to confirm a high likelihood of developing Huntington Disease in those at high risk of developing the disease due to family history. Appropriate pre-test counseling is strongly recommended according to guidelines published by the Huntington Disease Society of America. |
