Overview
Maureen Mulhern is an Assistant Professor of Genetic Counseling in the Departments of Neurology and Pathology & Cell Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Maureen is part of the Interdepartmental Genetic Counseling Program (IDGCP), which bridges laboratory genetics and clinical care. Her clinical work aims to promote access to genetic counseling and genetic testing across the department of neurology. She sees patients from many clinical areas, including neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuromuscular disorders.
Maureen completed her Genetic Counseling graduate education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is an ABGC board-certified genetic counselor with over 10 years of experience in neurogenetics, working in the research, clinical and laboratory spaces.
