Join CUIT Research Computing Services (RCS) for a session on practical ways that various cloud tools can be used in your research workflows. This in-person workshop, led by experts from Google Cloud, will provide an overview of how Columbia's researchers can integrate advanced cloud tools into their academic workflows to accelerate discovery.
CUIT RCS and Google will highlight tools that are now integrated into LionMail's Google Workspace, tools that can be used for a fee/credits, and available credit programs from Google. We will also reiterate data types that can be analyzed in Google Cloud as per Columbia's Data Classification Policy.
Attendees will be shown how specific tools (such as the Gemini CLI and Gemini in-Cloud Console) can be used or navigating, querying, and debugging research datasets. The session will also include live demonstrations of NotebookLM for creating interactive knowledge bases and Vertex AI for scaling searches across custom document collections.
By the end of the event, researchers will have the foundational knowledge to implement scalable, AI-driven solutions in their own investigative projects.
