The Department of Pathology is pleased to be able to offer its full-range of diagnostic procedures to physicians and hospitals outside of the Columbia University Medical Center. Our pathologists are leaders in research and diagnostics in a variety of areas including, among others, diseases of the nervous system, kidney, hematopoetic system, prostate, lung, heart, female reproductive tract and gasterointestinal system including the liver and pancreas.

We offer personal consultative services on complex cases to supplement the usual pathology report. Our molecular diagnostic laboratory offers an extensive menu of DNA based diagnostics and the Laboratory Hematology service provides expertise in complex issues of hemotherapy and transplantation.

We are aware that dealing with an academic center can appear complex and we work actively with clients to establish collection, billing and reporting solutions that allow a smooth integration of our services with their practice.
